Internet & BGP Information Print

Oso Grande strives to maintain a high-speed, high-value Internet service. Here you can find some information about our network.

Topology

Oso Grande's network design is often known as "enterprise architecture," in that it is comprised of core, distribution and access layers. As of 3/28/24, approximately 50% of the network has been migrated to a pure layer3 solution, with the goal of moving all customer transit links to routed interfaces in 2024Q3. We utilize 40gbps distribution uplinks currently, with bonded-1g/10g services at the access layer.

Peering

Oso Grande currently peers with Cogent Communications, Hurricane Electric, and Lobo Internet for transit, and also a peering member of the Albuquerque Internet Exchange. Oso Grande aims to bring on a 3rd Tier-1 transit provider in 2025Q1.

Oso Grande is happy to peer with anyone and everyone, and we are strong proponents of exchanges, keeping traffic local, and a healthy well-interconnected Internet ecosystem.
